A small group of people gathered in front of the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan to show solidarity with African-Americans and all people currently protesting across the US.
The protesters condemned the killing of George Floyd and other African-Americans by US police. They carried posters declaring “Armenians For Black Justice”, “Defund Police”, “No Justice No Peace” and “Black Lives Matter” and “Abolish Police”.
Afterwards, they handed a letter to embassy staff, demanding that the U.S. government defund police departments and decrease U.S. military presence globally.
